Great design of a bat with an outstetched wings in front of a moon. This was the final action of the Belgian Air Force during German invasion. It was the German main supply line into the Low Countries during early stages of the War. One of the pilots tried to crash his machine into the bridge but missed, so did all bombs as unit was never trained for the low-level bombing missions. One squadron, with incredibly brave crews was decimated in a raid against the German-held bridges at Veldwezelt and Vroenhoven. Equipped with absolete Fairey Battles and Foxes - unit took part in the tragic action around Maastricht (Netherlands) on May 11, 1940. At some point it was re-designated as a Long Range Reconnaissance/Bombing suadron but little is known when. Unit was quite active at the beginning of the War. Item # Avi-170 *SOLD*īelgium, WW2 badge of 3rd Regiment of Night Bombers. 3 sets of original folding wires present. Very good quality, cut-out shield and sun rays. Appears to be 1950's vintage, perhaps earlier. Item # Avi-123 *SOLD*Īrgentina, Air Force Officer cap badge in gilt. Eagle is thinner with slightly better details. Complete badge set (eagle, crown, backing plate, nuts). RAAF WW2, Officer small eagle (worn on epaulettes of the greatcoat and battledress). Maker: AMOR SYDNEY (in relief to reverse). RAAF WW2 Radio Operator/Mechanic trade badge. Very good condition, small holes (needle-sized) where it was attached to the cap.

Fantastic quality, hard to find with maker. Great condition to all, some patina to backing plate. Blackened copper, original backing plate and nuts. Original backing plate, crown and fasteners. Gilded finish, slight darkening under the wings. Superb quality, eagle highly detailed - much better than those made by Amor. Royal Australian Air Force Officer's dress cap badge by 'Miller & Sons, Sydney', WW2 period.
